WHAT THE CLIENT WANTED

Giving their new construction home character and warmth while also maximizing functionality was the ultimate goal for this retired couple.

History in the Making

How We Delivered

To ensure this home had plenty of the character the client desired, we incorporated historic touches throughout. Most notable are the 100-year-old doors we restored to separate the master bedroom from the master bath. Instead of the expected hinge-door, we gave the doors a modern touch by installing them as sliding barn doors. The master bathroom features a clawfoot tub reminiscent of days gone by while the marble countertops, wood tile floor, and industrial hardware provide the bathroom with a crisp, updated feel.

Form & Function

Efficiency in daily chores was another important consideration for this couple. We created a custom laundry shoot that allows the couple the slide laundry from the master into laundry room—no walk required.

Retirement & Relaxation

After putting in years of hard work, this couple wanted an outdoor oasis where they could relax and enjoy the golden years of retirement. With their screened in back patio as well as an openair porch area, they have no shortage of options on where to muse their afternoons and evenings away.
