About This

For the Edgerly project, our client wanted to create a hunting lodge-style retreat whose rustic aesthetic would be equally at home in the Colorado mountains as it would be here in Southwest Louisiana.

Mountain Materials

How We Delivered

By selecting the right materials reminiscent of a mountain lodge—stone, brick, wood, and metal—and incorporating those elements throughout the home, we were able to bring the style of the Rockies to the client’s new construction custom build home. Architectural wooden beams with industrial accents are a focal point throughout, adorning the front exterior entrance, the main interior living area, and the outdoor kitchen and patio. We furthered the rustic design scheme with the use of additional wood materials throughout, including the kitchen and bathroom cabinets as well as paneling on the walls and ceilings. Stone is also heavily featured, comprising the multiple fireplaces throughout, the archway and bar connecting the kitchen and living area, as well the range hood and outdoor kitchen support base.

Let The Games Begin

The game room—with its vaulted ceiling trimmed with dark wood molding and a barn door on an industrial sliding mechanism—is one of our favorite lodge-inspired areas of this home. A custom wet bar using exposed-grain wood and dark granite, as well as natural wood paneling on the ceilings and walls bring a taste of the outdoors in to complete the rustic aesthetic of this otherwise sumptuous space.
